Well, selling it for a friend, the 547hp Dinan stroker motor is insane.

Do feel free to just pop that ole engine out of there and send it over to me. I promise to make good use of it. I'll send my completely stock S65B40 back to you and we'll call it a day. Sounds good? Sweet, thanks!

you lucky...
PLUS YOU'RE IN MY STATE! Wooo! Washington FTW!

So this car is for sale? If you write up a more detailed listing here I can flip it to Car Buying and maybe get it on the FP.

Awesome color and probably lightning fast. Could do without this sig though, seems rather gaudy, maybe if it was way smaller. Good luck with selling it's going to be an easy sell.

That stroker kit costs $26,000. What is he trying to get for this bad boy?
![]() 07/30/2014 at 09:57 |

But it does seem to fit an M3.
![]() 07/30/2014 at 10:05 |

Eh maybe but I never think of the M3 as gaudy, like say an STI for example. I mean seriously that signature is huge and out of place. They might as well have used one of those white "for sale" window markers and inscribed his signature across the entire windshield.

Yea, I'd buy a new dash piece just to get rid of that. It's a class automobile not a piece of sports memorabilia.
![]() 07/30/2014 at 10:28 |
|
The dash piece shouldn't be too hard to find. I thought the same thing when I saw it.
Still it's nice to know it's a real Dinan car, full S3-R package, over $45k all together at Dinan. Having Steve stop by to sign it is the least he could do.

Tempting... ;) haha

It is. I'm having it detailed Friday with some much better photos taken this weekend. Once that's all set I'll have a more detailed post.

With only 23k on it and it's a Competition Package M3 to begin with I'm looking around the mid $60k range. That could change tho. It'll definitely be under the $80k price point new M3/M4's are at the dealer.

Damn not a new dash piece lol just some marker remover or maybe even some rubbing alcohol should be able to get rid of it.

Proof that I won't let it collect dust:

I understand why it's signed for sure! Hell if I'm spending this kind of money I want the whole shebang, just would've been better if it was a bit smaller no more than 4" x 2" it would look more classy.

Sell it to MEEEEE!

Yeah, you're not wrong.

My wife would shoot me. Bought my '08 E90 two years ago, and honestly, it's got more than enough power... But, more is more, right?

Great let me know when it is up...I think there will be a lot of interest in this car.

More is always more, and more is better.

Nice, pretty sure this would be a ton of fun at track days. All motor 546hp V8. So so so awesome.

Rubbing alcohol? Gonna wash the car with windex after that?
![]() 07/30/2014 at 10:52 |

I think I'll stop short of a supercharger - ha!
![]() 07/30/2014 at 11:13 |
|
That wouldn't be a bad buy for someone with that type of cash, I would take that over a new M4. Does it have the other Dinan stuff for the kit like brakes, suspension, ect?
![]() 07/30/2014 at 11:19 |
|
It's the full S3-R package, which doesn't include brakes. They deemed the brakes on the E92 more than adequate, and they are.
The package is the full stroker motor, ecu magic, throttle bodies, exhaust, mid pipe, intake, pulley set, adaptive suspension upgrade, sway bars, and a few other small bits.
Detail here, price doesn't include labor! Haha

Lol, I'm gonna use oxiclean to get it to really shine! I'm just saying I think a whole new dash piece might be a bit overboard, I'd be surprised if there wasn't an easier way to take it off without ruining the trim.
![]() 07/30/2014 at 11:27 |
|
That's awesome. If you for some reason drive to Canada and never talk to your "friend" again I support your decision, just give me one good run in it.
![]() 07/30/2014 at 11:29 |
|
I doubt the dash piece is more than $100 (I replaced lots of them in my E46) and I think the signature is awesome so I'd want to keep the panel I just don't to see it everyday inside my now $100k+ M3
![]() 07/30/2014 at 11:34 |
|
You can say that again. I'd rather have the stroker over a supercharger any day! If you have the time id love I see a video of that beast so I could hear it.
![]() 07/30/2014 at 11:38 |
|
Idk about the $100 but if it's that cheap then hell yeah your idea is 100x better than mine.
![]() 07/30/2014 at 11:42 |

Yeah, full video and photo shoot coming this weekend.

Man that's a bargain. I might be interested, I've been shopping on and off for an Interlagos blue/lemans M3.
![]() 07/30/2014 at 12:32 |

Once I have better pictures and a real for sale post up I'll be sure to alert you. Should be sometime this weekend.
It's a truly incredible car, I'm going to hate not getting to drive it once it's sold.
![]() 07/30/2014 at 12:36 |

Awesome I'll look out for it.
It looks amazing. I've never driven a Dinan stroked M3 but I've taken a VF Supercharged one out for a quick spin. I'd love to stay NA though.

Since when did Carrol Shelby start using the alias "Steve Dinan?"

It's like doing your girlfriend and shaking your hand on the way out of the bedroom, except now your girlfriend is a real freak in the bed.

I think the most expensive panel in the E46 was $160. I had the plastic painted trim that likes to bubble in sunlight. The wood or aluminum trims might be more expensive
